About

Dr. Sertel Şıracı is a Managing Partner of SCH-Legal. His work focuses on the intersection of law and technology: he advises and represents clients in IT and technology law, software law, trademark, patent and design law, and personal data protection. He is a registered trademark and patent attorney, a mediator, and a partner of Sistem Global Danışmanlık.

He received his master’s degree from İstanbul Bilgi University with a study on the protection of software rights, and completed his doctorate with a thesis in patent law. He teaches Personal Data Protection Law, Digital Intellectual Property Law and Legal Aspects of E-Commerce in Bahçeşehir University’s IT and Technology Law master’s programme.

He is a former Chair of the Istanbul Bar Association’s IT Law Commission. He is a founding member of the E-Commerce and Internet Law Association and the Data Protection Association, and a founding member and board member of the Open Data and Technology Association. He also mentors entrepreneurs at YTÜ Startup House.
